Stainless steel turnbuckle terminal for crimping for 2mm – 8mm ropes
Our saltwater-resistant turnbuckle terminals made of V4A AISI 316 stainless steel are ideal for crimping as end connections and for tensioning steel cables. The rolled terminals can be rolled on or pressed onto the steel cable using hydraulic pressing tools.
When using the turnbuckle, please make sure to lubricate the thread with a stainless steel assembly paste before tensioning. The stainless steel assembly paste prevents seizing or cold welding of stainless steel threads.
Tested quality: The steel cable terminals are made of rust-free V4A stainless steel, so they can be exposed to difficult weather conditions. In conjunction with the hydraulic crimping pliers from our online shop, the following breaking forces of the terminals were determined:
- 2mm with terminals: 326kg
- 3mm with terminals: 326kg
- 4mm with terminals: 907kg
- 5mm with terminals: 968kg
- 6mm with terminals: 448kg
Attention! The breaking forces of the wire rope terminals are given without a safety factor. Please note that a suitable safety factor must be included in your calculation. You can find the detailed test reports under ‘Test reports’ on the article page.
Easy handling: With the help of our hydraulic crimping pliers, the terminal can be quickly and securely attached to the steel cable. Please note that it is not possible to crimp it with a simple hand crimping tool, such as our 2-in-1 crimping pliers & wire rope shears. The turnbuckle terminal allows steel cables to be tensioned and attached to suitable attachment points without the need for additional connecting elements.
Advantage over the terminal with grub screws: Due to the possibility of self-production, the exact length of the steel cable does not have to be defined in advance, but can be individually adapted to the conditions on site and mounted with the pressed terminal. Due to the firm pressing, a subsequent separation of the steel cable from the terminal is not possible.
Easy expansion options: Our turnbuckle tensioner terminals can, of course, be combined with all suitable steel cables, eye bolts or other fastening options from the Drahtseile24 shop and crimped with the hydraulic crimping pliers. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
